Just a small clarification.....I am in the "Guy" category...HaHa. Oh and as long as there are no Flying Monkeys I think were safe.
 
Yep...Wichita, KS. Living out the days in this up and down midwest weather!

I am running away tomorrow with hubby for a short weekend getaway, I was just hoping to know something about DS's ROTC options before we go. Oh well, I'm sure we'll still have a good time, headed to Vegas Baby!

Have an amazing time in Vegas!!! And who knows, we might know or not by then. DH and I celebrate our anniversary this Friday, we'd really hoped to have one more thing to toast to too. It will be a good weekend for us all regardless.:thumb:

Good morning.

Not much to talk about this morning, we all just want to know when the results will be released. Hopefully no one is just sitting there hitting refresh on the CC site:wink: Will be checking in and out again today - hang tough everyone!

That's horrible - a snow day and no answers....bet you are just hitting refresh:shake: East coast by chance? It sounds like you got hit hard with the snow again. Ohio dodged this one so the kiddos are at school:thumb: well, except our younger DD, she's home ill and sleeping. DS is starting to get anxious, but luckily he has a busy weekend with BoyScouts, that will keep him distracted and he loves the program they're working with this weekend.

Hmmmmm. . . . The DoDMERB site goes down within days after reports start surfacing that some folks observed that AROTC was added to their "Qualified" list. The site has been down for a week now. I wonder if the site goes back up once the AROTC website is updated. Coincidence?
 
Hey everyone! This is my first time posting but I've been on this site daily, hoping to see that some people have received scholarships for the Jan. board. But nothing yet! I hope someone posts something as soon as they get notification so I know when to check CC to see if I also got the "golden ticket" GL to everyone! :thumb:

Anything is possible, but it would be unusual for 2 government agencies to work that well together...:rolleyes:

Government: your status check would be on the website we're discussing-its down and has been down for a week - read the thread on DodMERB part of this forum - they are working to restore the site, but no timeline.

Maybe they will not update the status this time, just mail letters. I work for the government (veterans administration), and you would think there would be some type of message stating when the results should be posted. I mean, they must be getting flooded with phone calls too.

I know, I ask too much !! :bang:

Yes, a simple date, method of notification or some communication would be AMAZING, but CC and the Army seem to think communication is over rated:biggrin: So, character building, learning patience or whatever we wanna call it, its gonna be what its gonna be........got the mail box covered, too, just in case:thumb:

Coincidence!

Somehow I don't think that the Department of Defense would shut this off just to keep those awaiting word on the AROTC scholarship in the dark. They are for all ROTC programs, Service Academies, USUHS and other officer accession programs.

Good luck waiting, I know how stressful it is.

Top of this forum webpage flashes a hotel special: $81/night includes continental breakfast - use special code. Hotel is exact one we used last year to visit college/ROTC and planned to use again this year. So I click link, use code, price is right but no breakfast. Call hotel who says actually $83 and no breakfast included, never heard of the code. Go back to top of the webpage, offer there but not with breakfast or code and price now $83.

So I hallucinated a code that actually reduces price by $2?
