Thanks!!! ... but I am already DoDMERB Q'ed. I recieved my letter about a month ago because I am applying to the SA and put down AROTC as well. So... now what? lol

I think that in your case you'll have to wait for a letter in the mail or for your CC status page to be updated with what schools you've been awarded a scholarship to.

Does anyone one know the dates for March - I keep hearing 8Mar, does that mean it will close on 11Mar? Will be curious to hear about the letters coming to January board winners, especially the date they must respond by-usually 30 days-that would put 25Mar/28Mar...it then would take a week or so for CC to recalculate who went where and begin releasing March results(this would come out to April 1-8 depending ... as the soonest results could be ready). Yes, I'm a little down for DS's situation, but never out. :wink:

DS's first choice other than USMA is The Citadel, and that is where we hear his 4 year Army scholarship is for. Already DODMERB qualified for USMA and ROTC.

After checking the status page every 15 minutes for the past 2 days I had to go out this afternoon and upon returning home just a few minutes ago I found my son's status message had changed to:

You may check your medical qualification status by visiting the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board DoDMERB WebSite

Trying hard not to get too excited yet. We received the DoDMERB packet mid-January so that is already completed and my son is listed at DoDMERB as qualified. Incidentally, he has not applied to any of the service academies so it's still a bit of a mystery as to why he was selected for the physical.

His school choices are:

Liberty University
Southeastern University
Cedarville

Ohio, I was told that the last board date is March 8. This last board will be trickier, I expect.

Ohio....too bad you're so far away.....otherwise, we could have a drink together tonite. DS applied later for AROTC, however, he also applied to NROTC back in the early fall and we continue to sit and wait. :frown:

I know exactly how you're feeling. But, like they keep saying, be patient b/c they still may be updating til tomorrow. Navy meets every 2 weeks, i think, so we have another couple of weeks of waiting once again.

This is getting tiring. One good thing, we will be busy super busy the next few weeks with all those other senior activities.... banquets, prom, senior pics, local scholarships(ugh) etc.....
Hang in there Ohio! But i wish this would happen to me .... :spacecraft:

Congrats, WinterHater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of pointers from one frazzled DP to another frazzled DP:

1. You will check the AROTC status page at LEAST 10 times, and probably over the weekend, thinking "What if someone keyed in the wrong SSN? I better check to make sure they didn't change the status back to 'You've been selected for an interview' again!!"

2. You need to change your SAF name from "WinterHater" to "SpringLover"!!

P.S.: Just checked again -- still says to visit DoDMERB website. Whew!

Thanks. As much as anything I just wanted to re-affirm to everyone that they must still be making entries. As is obvious by my posts about lunchtime today, I was very frustrated and feeling that there was not much chance.

I know some here speculated that the entries were being made alphabetically, etc. I wonder if they might have been entered by merit / ranking by the board. I know my son probably didnt rank as high as some of the others who have posted today and it seems the better ones posted earlier that they got the "probably sort-of most likely good news" status change message.

Yes, a drink would be good right about now, but I'm on driving duty for my youngest DD tonight. We won't have too much going on in March(except taking out a loan for AP exam fees---$435.00

). Our senior stuff is more in May, so I've got little while to get ready for those events. Good luck with the Navy too, we're a one branch family so only have to keep up with AROTC. Oh, and I do believe Marist College was correct about the results being done. He and Clarkson would know. So, it looks like we all hang out until April. Hey, even the "winners" are welcome cheer us on thru another month or so of waiting :biggrin:

I think they go by birthdate. Or perhaps maybe by the third letter of the applicant's last name.

Thanks. The odd part is I had kept this all from my son about results being posted until I met him after school today. I told him that I had been checking regularly and it didnt look good for his chances with the Janaury board etc. Then when we got home I was happy to have to eat those words. :shake:

Patentesq, you are clearly several steps ahead of me. I have already checked the status page a half dozen times, I'm still not sure I believe it yet.

No name change. My wife is making no secret about her preference for Southeastern (Florida). And she is already hinting about relocating to be closer....
