My son was just told by one of the West Point Admissions Officers that some LOAs would be awarded in about 2 weeks.
To receive an LOA, how much of one's portal must be completed?
Hypothetically, I must have high test scores to receive one, is that correct?
Oh okay, phew! I got worried because my SAT scores aren't the best and I thought I had to send them in right now so this is a sigh of relief.
I'm afraid that my 6th semester (end of junior year) transcript will not show a calculated GPA until the fall. Will that affect my chances of receiving a LOA?
However, my combined SAT scores come out as a 2270.
You guys have impressive scores. Do you have any tips? My SATs are 1750, first time taking without studying. 630 reading, 550 math, 570 writing. On PSATs, I received 66 reading, 57 math and 61 writing.
I had difficulty actually "studying" for my standardized tests. I did well without any sort of test prep on both the ACT and SAT the first time around, but felt I could do better. I learned new ways of looking at the problems, or basically learning to beat the test I guess.
I like the ACT more because it doesn't try to trick you like the SAT does.
I just didn't really get the science section.
