Ok, I can't help but share some good news. My AROTC son, who is heading to LDAC this summer, just received the Military Officers Association of America's ROTC medal. One cadet is chosen by the unit commander and he was it! So proud of him.
I must say that a well oiled ROTC unit certainly knows how to motivate their cadets. DS finished his junior year a short while ago and is in "May Training" as they prepare for LDAC. He'll be home at the end of the week. When he called last night he had just finished his meeting with the Officer in charge, to go over his record, grades, performance, languages, etc etc etc. I have never heard him so encouraged, so pumped up for LDAC, and so excited for his future.
Hooah!!!
