Hello!!
I am a female high school senior from San Diego with a great desire to attend the Naval Academy. I am being recruited for Track and Field, which actually happens to be my life other than school. I recently received an appointment to NAPS 2011-2012! I am very stoked :D just waiting for a medical waiver.

I have also been showing horses competitively for 14 years and loved every minute of it! I take AP and Honors classes and have a volunteer position on the USS Midway with the Airwing department! I am very excited to have found this forum and hopefully we can all be of help to one another!

Safe to assume you will run track at NAPS :shake:? I plan to be doing the same (not recruited however). I'm a distance runner and we love to crack jokes on our sprinter friends. Here is one for the road- "Some people lack the intestinal fortitude to run distance, they are called sprinters:thumb:".

Hello fellow 858er....great news on your Naps appointment!!! Which district did you get your nomination from?

HAHAHA great joke for the road but im not just a sprinter.....im a hurdler and jumper! definitely not for the faint of heart!!! we joke that we have the most character on the team! :)

and I am from Del Mar.....but i never got a nomination! They just brought me out for an official visit for track and then I received my conditional letter of intent. I applied to Bilbrae but I was too late applying since I figured out the Navy was my calling in mid November haha

small world, CCHS is just down the road from Westview HS, where my son goes to school :shake:

haha thats hilarious! such a small world indeed! is your son still waiting on news from an academy?

Yes, he sure is, USNA, fingers crossed in this house...small world indeed, he's probably run cross country with you at some of the meets.

Hello!

Good job on getting in NAPS!

It's never too late to join in and comment on your expectations and experiences. I'm sure the people here in the forums will find anything you have to share helpful!
