Looks like USNA will be in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in December 2012. Are bowl tickets made available to the Mids through USNA or do they need to purchase through the bowl website?

    Thanks.

I believe that is the current projection but I'm not sure how accurate the projections are. Army is "projected" to play in the Military Bowl. However, with a 1-7 record to date, they won't be bowl eligible.:frown:

If Navy has committed to the Kraft bowl and they become bowl eligible by winning one more game, then that's where they'll end up. You'll know for sure when the navysports.com website starts advertising tix.

As for mid tickets, I believe mids get them through USNA. People can donate tix to mids, so many can end up going for free (well, the game ticket is free).

Once Navy qualifies for a bowl (fingers crossed it is this Saturday) NAAA will start publishing information on how to purchase tickets. NAAA would prefer you purchase them through that venue because then it counts towards Navy's required tickets. Every team for a bowl is required to sell X amount of tickets for a bowl game. This is not a big deal for Navy as our fans have always supported the bowl games very well, but it is a huge help as it solidifies Navy's profile as a great school to have in their bowl as we sell tickets and put fans in the stands.

Most Mids will get free tickets to the games. As usna1985 mentioned, there is a way for folks to donate tickets to Mids and Sailors/Marines to attend the game.

It's official - Navy will play in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Game! We live in California and my DS will be home for the holidays. We all plan to go up to San Francisco for the game. DS will be buying 5 tickets thru navysports.com for himself and our family. My question...will he be able to sit with us or does he sit with the brigade? And since he is on Christmas leave, will he have to wear his uniform and participate in the march on?

Would love any suggestions or anyone with experience that can help out.

    Thanks!

Not sure about seats but I think he would have to sit with the Brigade.

Yes, he has to wear his uniform. Not sure about marching in but I would bet on it.

If the government/USNA is offsetting the trip for any cost (i.e. driving mileage, airfare, hotel, reduced ticket price, etc.) then your MIDN is subject to USNA rules/requirements. If you do everything on your own (i.e. no financial help and pay full ticket prices) then your MIDN probably has no obligation to follow USNA's rules/requirements.
