The thing of it is that if she is initially assigned to her "legacy" squadron then she may not be able to stay there when they do the shuffle after the 3C year. My daughter has spent her 4C and her 3C years in one squadron and is now legacying into the squadron from which her dad graduated so she can graduate from that squadron as well.
But all things seem seem to be in flux on how this works, as legacies get more and more prevalent. I saw on FB that legacies in the future will be treated as only part of the equation and don't trump the system, so I guess there would be no guarantee that she would move to her legacy squadron anyway.
In the meantime, enjoy the dad/daughter camaraderie that will develop! While my husband initially was not in favor of his girl at USAFA, he couldn't be more proud now! Congrats and good luck!
