Out of curiosity, is this possible? Not saying that would be a bad things since I heard nothing but good things about going to NAPS.

Also, if i was to not receive a nomination, could I be appointed to NAPS (I have a LOA to USNA)?

I've never heard of anyone with an LOA to USNA being appointed to NAPS. An LOA means you are highly qualified for a direct appointment to USNA. NAPS is for those who need additional academic preparation. Someone with an LOA likely doesn't need extra academic prep.
