Looking for Guidance

Oh, and I was informed by her that she called the Recruitment officer Capt Mendoza to ask some more questions and etc. She said it has nothing to do with us wanting her to go there. She said the opportunities she wants are more available at USMA.

@Azawinsky, thanks for closing the loop and sharing the outcome. Sounds like a win-win.

Now, please consider removing that photo, for your daughter’s and her boyfriend’s sake. This is a confidential forum, for good reason. We’re all strangers, we don’t know everyone’s intentions, and there are always people (including at the SAs) looking to troll others with “too much information” they find online. Don’t provide fodder to those with nothing better to do. I recommend this respectfully.

Not her BF, but regardless i have contacted the admin.

For the regular college vs Prep/SA crowd. The salutatorian in my son’s high school went to RPI and majored in aero like my son. They are still best friends and talk about their majors. Both got similar educations in aero and he won the RPI award for top GPA for athletes - similar GPAs.

His regular college life wasn’t sex, drugs, and rock and roll. It was doing a sport and studying. Yes, there was no military - but athletes work hard at their sport.

The key difference - my son is graduating with many great friends. His friend has a few friends - but nowhere near the closeness and number my son has.

And my son had a lot of fun at USNA.
