Mine took 14 days to show up, about another week to get the letter.

Actually, the status on the DODMETS site was the first indication. Then we looked on the DODMERB site a few days later. The DODMERB site showed "qualified" a week before we got the letter. About the time we got the letter, D showed as qualified on the application site. So, electronic notification is the quickest.
