Son was DQ'd for Asthma past age 13 (Dr noted wheezing and presribed an inhaler in 2011). Spirometry tests have all been normal. He plays football and lacrosse without incidents of breathlessness. We are confident that he does not have asthma and are willing to pay for the methacholine test ourselves. Will DODMERB accept the test results of a methacholine test from a private physician. If so, is that information automatically reviewed by DODMERB as a remedial to its original determination or is it only reviewed after the SA requests a waiver.

I would call DODMERB and ask them before you spend your money on the test. The help desk is reportedly quite helpful.

(Not sure if you mean you passed the DoDMERB test) I was DQ'ed as well for Asthma, and I had also played football for all of high school. I was only scheduled a spirometry test and I passed it quite easily, which got me a waiver from USMA and AROTC. (USMA had requested the waiver to start this process.)
