When I finished my entire application in November, I had all my grades sent except senior year because of course my 1st semester was still in progress. Is it a possibility for USNA to look at my record and say "we want to see his senior year grades before we make any decision." Also i know that when USNA accepts a candidate for direct admission, they ask to see a final transcript so they can recind an appointment. However, does NAPS want to see a final transcript, or once the decision is made, your good to go?

Definitely send your first semester grades to USNA -- they could make a difference especially if you're borderline.

I don't know for sure if NAPS requires your final transcript -- I wouldn't be surprised if they do. However, as long as you don't get all Ds and Fs, you'll be fine.

In the paperwork that my son received for NAPS it does ask for a copy of his final transcript.

ah ok thanks, yeah I'll probably just send them another transcript when it comes out with 1st semester grades. my class rank and GPA went up; not by much but nonetheless went up; so it might help.

Make sure that you have your final (Graduation) official transcripts sent to NAPS and USNA.
Also get several copies for yourself. They will come in handy if your school "forgets" to send them out.

Yes you will have to send in your final transcript. It becomes part of your new application that is started automatically for you for the next year's class at USNA and will be part of those admission records just as those that get a direct admit will have to provide final transcripts. They do need official confirmation that you did indeed graduate and complete all of your high school classes.
