How should the candidates dress (or not dress) when they show up on the first day of NASS (of course, I know...but maybe some folks have that question)? I have seen a few interesting photos.
Candidates are not being judged based on how the report to Summer Seminar, but one thing to note is that we will make you tuck in your shirts immediately upon arrival (regardless of what you're wearing) except for females wearing skirts (obviously). So instead of wearing those yoga pants or pants without a belt that keep falling down, I would recommend something conservative such as khaki shorts with a collared shirt or button down for arrival. Thanks for making a point of that @usnabgo08.
What kind of evaluations are given by detailers and how much do they weigh in one's application?
We are not at liberty to say what exactly is on the evaluations or the different weights of the evaluations. All I can say is that, they are looking for the kind of character, commitment, and passion that we would want as apart of our family in the Brigade of Midshipmen and would expect to be a good Naval or Marine Corps Officer.
