New SAT Score Question

My son bumped his SAT up to a score (2040) I think could enhance his chance at getting NROTC scholarship. Has anyone here sent in updated SAT scores AFTER his package has been in for months ? This has also changed a couple of his schools on his list. We will call recuriter in the AM but thought this forum might have an answer.
 
Updating scores for NROTC

My son had his completed NROTC packet submitted in August, took the ACT again in OCT and scored better so we wanted to update his new scores with the NROTC.
My son was able to update his already submitted NROTC packet with his newest and better Oct 2013 ACT scores.

He emailed PNSC_NROTC.scholarship@navy.mil asking them to update his packet with his new score and they replied with this...
"Thank you for your email. You can send your new ACT scores to: pnsc_nrotc_applications@navy.mil. They can also verify that you package reflects your updated scores. I would email the screen shot of your scores with your name on the screen shot, along with your request. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance."

He followed the directions and then about a week later received this email response...
"Score sheets have been printed and ACT scores have been updated."

We checked his portal and the scores have been updated.
