Nomination Interview This Saturday

Good Morning All,

I have my congressional nomination interview this Saturday morning. What kind of questions do they ask? I know that some are the cliche "Why do you want to attend a service academy?" but I just don't want to be surprised if they ask something different. I appreciate all the help.

I would look at the blog Kinnem shared. You never know what questions they'll ask.

I had mine last Saturday, the majority were about "Why do you want to go to a Service Academy, how does it fit in with your long term goals, and how can you handle the stress?"
I had one question asking what Donald Trump should do in his first 90 days to unite the country, it's different for everyone. Just be honest with the board and know why you're applying in the first place.

My DD's was last Saturday also and she wasn't asked any of the questions she prepped for. she was asked if she likes to read and what is she reading now and why did she pick that book and then all of the questions were based on answers to that question. I wonder if it had to do with her low SAT reading score.

My DD had her interview last Thursday and she was ready for some tough questions too. She looked at forums that had sample questions they might ask and she was ready to be hit hard with them. She said they didn't ask anything like she thought they would. She said it was a very relaxed interview. Maybe it had nothing to do with your DD's score but just an interview to get to know more about her that wasn't in the paperwork.
 
I have my Admissions Liasion Officer (ALO) Interview tomorrow! Any advice? It would be greatly appreciated!
What is the most difficult the ALO asks?
 
My DS had his Congressional interview last Sunday. One of the people on the three-member panel asked him if you could change anything you did in high school what would it be?

I would consider making your own thread, but I had my ALO interview last Saturday as well so pm me if you're interested in hearing about what to expect (although my experience might not be the same).
 
Clearly MOC interviews are all over the board. Perhaps if you identify what MOC you are interviewing with you can get specific input on previous years' questions
