Nomination Status Question

Trying to make sense of my daughter's portal. She only did one nomination interview. Under 'Nomination Status' it says "Status: Received" and then "Nominators: Presidential" and her Congressman's name. Does that just mean they received word that she is qualified for the Presidential and that she interviewed and they are waiting to see if she gets the Representative's nomination?

Thanks for helping.

Agree. That’s two. No doubt about it. BTW, everyone who applies for, and qualifies for the presidential will receive it. Which is lots. I don’t recall how many are appointed via Presidential.

It’s great to have an MOC as well!

And now for the fun part...the WAIT. One of mine was early December, the other? Almost 6 months later...late May. Seriously, can be a LONG wait.

Happy day at your house and I appreciate your kiddos' willingness to serve. I lean towards the saltier of the two choices, but hey, I was raised to say "GO NAVY BEAT ARMY" and I have a plebe at USNA. Whichever route she ends up taking, she clearly has done the work to earn the nomination.

I think that saying is more correctly uttered as "Go Army, sink Navy", but it's been over 30 yrs since my time in the Army so I could have it mixed up. ;)
