I apologize if the answer to my question is intuitive but I am new to the Academy application process. The "Online Application Status" for my application lists me as a candidate and my nomination status lists "Status: Received Nominator: Presidential" Does this mean I have received a Presidential nomination or that my application for a presidential nomination has been received? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank You.

It means that you have rcvd a Presidential nomination. Everyone that is eligible thru their parents and applies will recv a Presidential nomination. The catch is that of those Presidential nominations, only 100 will be given appointments, so even though you have a nomination, continue to persue all nominations for which you can apply to increase your chances of getting that appointment!

Thank You for the quick response-- am still competing for a local MOC nomination. Based on other comments on the forum, it sounds like my state is little behind others.
