I have searched but found no answer to this question.
Can your Senior Army Instructor nominate you for the naval academy through your JROTC program?
(we are an Honor Unit with Distinction)

    Hi!

Okay...I asked one of my most senior AF JrROTC leaders about this and here's what he sent me:
    Steve,

Typically we will receive a letter from USAFA if we are on the DoD list of Distinguished Units for the previous academic year. It is then up to the SASI
to determine if candidates within the JROTC unit deserve a nomination from the school principal. If so, the principal may nominate up to three cadets, who compete for (last year, at least) 35 slots reserved that year for JROTC graduates.

PS. USMA and USNA have slightly different procedures, but the result is the same.

    Does this help?
