Not offered a LOA?

Elias and Mongo...... I do know the distinction between the various types of nominations. However, Elias, you make it sound so easy, so automatic.........when in fact, few MOC's use the method whereby the principle ( number one ranked) candidate on the slate must, as per law, be offered the appt if found qualified. Most offer up an unranked slate to each SA and let them do the choosing. Being 3Q'd and having a nom, unless you are indeed the principle, is another step toward the prize. But not yet the appt.

FL?????

Let's not continue to debate this; it's just deviating from the original topic, and I'm no expert.
I just wanted to put some ease into someones mind if they didnt receive a LOA. This debate is a bit redundant.

EDIT: FL, I'm in Florida.

Admissions Boards meet two Thursdays a month in FL.
Sorry, Elias, I think there is just some ongoing confusion about this statement you made. The Admissions board meets at the Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland), not in Florida, unless I'm greatly mistaken.
