I submitted my Vice Presidential nomination but never received any type of email/screen confirmation stating that it had gone through. Is this normal? Should I submit it again? Would anything bad happen if I submitted a duplicate application precautionarily?

Why not just call the applicable Admissions department and confirm they have it? They do all the evaluation and selection for it. That seems to be a known quirk in various systems.
I reached out to USAFA, and they explained that since the VP office has not submitted their nominations to admissions, there is no way of verifying. But I'm more so worried about the fact that I am not sure if my application went through since I never received any correspondence regarding it.

This is how that nom application works. No notification. Not even a confirmation it went through via Internet. Since there is no confirmation that it processed properly, I’m team ‘contact admissions and confirm they have received it’.
This comes up every year. Imo, it’s too important a piece to not confirm it’s been received. And imo, they could add a ‘confirmation’ piece to this particular application. I don’t get a vote, though.

The person who you spoke with either did not understand what you were asking or does not know how the VP nom works. The VP's office does not submit the info, it is handled by the respective Service Academies.
You are not alone. It was the same for my DS. I think it is just how their system is set up.

I submitted my VP nom application earlier today and I received this screen confirmation that it was in.
It seems like you guys did not receive something like this so I'm not sure what marks the difference here, but I wanted to show that a confirmation is given upon completion and this is what it looks like. It could perhaps have been a bug in the system at the time for those who didn't get one.
I didn't receive an email confirmation though.
