There is no set timeline as there are several steps involved. Some applications get referred for an interview, which will add to the review time. Once the admissions board has reviewed and made a recommended determination, there is a final approval by the superintendent.Does anyone know how long they it takes for the CGA to review a record?

And a lot of the process comes down to comparing applicants that are about equal in their qualifications to determine which applicants best help with forming a well-rounded class.Thank you for explaining!

The wait is so hard - we've watched this young person develop for 18 years, and work toward this goal for the last three years or more, and we want it for them SO badly. Yes, they did all the hard work, but we were behind them every step of the way, pushing them, encouraging them - and driving them all over town - to build their package to give them the best chance at an appointment.
I know there are many parents on this board, but there are surely a lot of cadet candidates as well. We parents want this for you more than you know - it's the same instinct that had us put our hand over a sharp corner when 2-year-old you toddled by, though you never knew it at the time. Our hearts will break for you if it doesn't work out. I hope you know - and let your parents know that you know.
