So this question might seem completely stupid but I’m just thirsty for knowledge...

Quick background: I joined my schools NROTC-MO unit as a College Program mid and went through orientation. Did a lot of the stuff that you guys talked about (Firewatch/PT/Getting my arse educated by the upperclassmen Marine Options). Did NROTC-MO for a semester but eventually dropped after talking with an OSO and being accepted to PLC-Juniors after running a 280 on my PFT since I didn't need the scholarship money and was encouraged by a few civilian friends who were also applying to the program ("We're gonna attend PLC and commission together! Oh what fun!" was the thought).

Unfortunately I developed a painful stress fracture after my first week that completely disabled me from running. As a result I was dropped for medical reasons but was told that once I had healed that I would be allowed to return next summer. Unfortunately - or fortunately, I ended up bumping into one of the AFROTC cadre this summer who convinced me to give AFROTC a shot. The jobs I want in both services are relatively similar (Signal Intel & Intel). Either way, I'm going to have to make a choice soon regarding staying in PLC or going after an Air Force commission.

I'm just wondering what are the differences between NROTC-MO/PLC and AFROTC (We focused a ton on PT/Leadership under stress while I noticed the AF cadets focusing on drill & memorization)? What should I do to adjust if I make the hop over, and what should I do to catch up to the rest of the sophomores next year?

There is never a guarantee in any service that you are going to get your first choice job. Which service offers other jobs you would be willing to do?

You spent time with the USMC so you understand what the USMC values in terms of leadership, intensity, and discipline. As an offer you must set the example and lead from the front. You will always be a Marine first and foremost. Do you like the field? Do you like living in the dirt, the prospect of being on a ship? What about other MOS? Those are small MOSs in the USMC. The Air Force is different in many ways. There are no guarantees that you will get that job either. When it comes down to it, what do you want to do, what fits your best, what are your goals?
