Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and still trying to figure things out. I joined because I am in quite a dilemma. I'm a high school senior and I've been accepted and plan to attend The Citadel in the fall. I have a goal of being an aviator and I've applied for a NROTC scholarship.
I chose Navy over Marine Option because I believed Naval Aviation to be more an attraction to me than Marine Aviation. I naively didn't fully take in my chances of not becoming an aviator, and when I took time to think it over; I'm much more interested in Marine non-aviation positions versus Navy non-aviation positions.
My question is how can I transfer over? I haven't received a scholarship, but if I do I need the money to help pay for the $30,000 tuition. Is there a way that possibly after my first semester or first year on NROTC scholarship that I can apply for a Marine Option scholarship?
If you have any alternative paths or suggestions I am open to listening. Thanks for the advice.

Yes! I know for a fact you can transfer to marine option after a semester or year. I dont know how or when but I know you can. I also hear it's easier to go to marines from navy than the other way around. Dont quote me on that though.
