I know there is simple answer to whether a history of anxiety will be waived. But I’m wondering if anyone knows if BUMED (whom I understand to be the waiver authority for NROTC selects) has ever granted a waiver where the select was off the anti-anxiety meds for less than 36 months. My nephew completed his DoDERMB exams in January and was DQ’d for history of anxiety. He was granted a 4 NROTC scholarship earlier this month and went “Under Waiver Review” about a week later. His physician’s notes in his med exam accurately reflect that he stopped meds 18 months ago at which time he had no symptoms, treatment was deemed successful, no further interaction necessary, fully resolved, and that this has been confirmed at later, periodic check-ups. His performance, in academics, sports or otherwise, was never affected. Thanks in advance!

My first sentence was supposed to read “I know there is NO simple answer…” 🤦‍♂️
