IS their a website or something that shows the number of requests for nominations with NJ's congressional districts. Looking to understand the local demand.

No website that I know of and the demand in NJ for a nomination is high. NJ is competitive. This past year our senators had over 300 applicants for nominations. I believe my district had 30 requesting nominations. Each applicant had to force rank the academies. USNA had 17, USMA had 10, USAF had 3. Overall in the state USAF is the least competitive. I would assume that USMA gets more popular as you move further north in the state. If you call your representative and speak with the aid responsible for nominations you may be able to get the information you are looking for.

Thx I agree NJ is always competitive in everything. I send an email to Booker and had one of his snot nose admins call me back and proceed to tell me my son should be the one asking the question. I had too in my way tell her she was misguided in that I am asking a question for my own edification as a parent to get a perspective of what my son is up against in his local market.

Did you start by saying you a big supporter of his (even if you aren't)?

AJC you may be joking a bit but they represent all of us and should not be asking if we are a supporter or not. Those accepted may serve and die representing all of us. While I understand that the interview process is difficult for them due to sheer number, my son had problems with Sen. Booker's on-line application not saving data, both Senator offices not having the entire file ( recommendations when they did) and I was more than disappointed that we never heard anything in courtesy from either one of them in either a form letter or e-mail regarding the results of nomination process. The application process is not easy and many applicants and their responsible adults drove from all over state to attend. Congressmen Lance, and his support office, on other hand, were outstanding in conducting the interviews and personally notifying my son. Congressman Lance was actually there during the interview process.

I agree. Leonard Lance was a class act in all of this. Booker, not so much.

@NJ_Dad - if you ever find out the answer to your question, I'll love to hear it. I'm also curious.

"Right after I turned 17 and got my New Jersey driver’s license, one of the earliest places I drove was a trip, the only trip I have ever taken was to Hawaii."

I will keep all informed if I learn anything else. Since NJ has competition for everything from commuter parking passes to which town can charge the highest property taxes and get away with it. Middlesex County sure loves this game.
