Surprised to see such a large number of people at the Family Day.
Hey everyone - yeah, the question and answer session was pretty tame, no real new information to share(especially with the live stream) so didn't rush on here to post.
Had a great time with DS and his squad - we had 3 vehicles and took most of his squad off base for food and a movie. Great group of cadets! Two didn't go since one has shingles and one of the family members is pregnant so two stayed behind to roam around on post.
It appears the only thing for certain is no recondo and PT scores were all entered as 300 - to negate the score in OMS and yet give the end of camp commissionees a score of record to proceed. Last counceling now says the PT score will be an average of spring and fall last years record PT scores. But as with anything CC, that could change and everything else pretty much up in the air. This could be interesting
DS arrived safely at Ft. Sill last night and is enjoying a day off to recover(mostly sleep).
Hope further communication comes out of remaining Reg as they graduated and/or receive their phones.
Sounds great! Good to hear you're DS sounds like he is staying extremely positive and doing well, despite the situation surrounding LDAC!
Thanks Bull. LDAC may have been a mess, but his squad was awesome and they really bonded together to endure. This was so different from BCT where DS was very happy to leave - I think these cadets will stay in touch and support each other throughout MSIV year. Glad LDAC is over for him - no great accomplishments or awards, but the experience built a better future 2LT

I hear the tick record is 37 on one cadet. Can anyone beat that?
Ohio2015Parent the bonding is nice to hear! Was there anything that your DS would have wanted at LDAC but might not have received in a care package?
I have just received a letter from our DS in 7th Regt, the last one he wrote was a 5th grade project.
It would seem that baby wipes, deodorant, newspapers, and also being the tough bunch they are, Gummy Bears are all in high demand.
They have moved out of their tents and now reside in an aircraft hangar, lucky them.
