Orientation 2013

hahaha! i know right?!??! i was thinking i was only gonna meet like 5% of my future class!!! lol!

Is it possible to receive an orientation without going to these orientation dates?

As far as the actual Orientation program, no. But I do know that there are times available for anybody interested to go out and shadow a cadet. Btown and Packermatt7 would be able to tell you more about it, I know they did it this fall...

I visited in September. Basically you go in the morning and a few officers give you a presentation (recent grads for me, there were three 2nd Lts). Then they take you to hand off to a cadet. HNeedle so graciously escorted me. You attend classes w/ them, and basically shadow their day. You eat at Mitch's as well. HNeedle took me to English and Calc XII or something, lol. Had free time to walk around and look at the athletic complex, chapel, etc.

If you can get out there, I would suggest doing it, especially if you can't make it to Orientation.

P.S. Does anyone know if we get more info on Orientation? We really haven't gotten much on it.

i think orientation is just one of those "show up and we'll do the rest" kind of events.. but i do know that while were there we'll get more info on things you need to do before june 25th ect...

Are there only certain days to shadow a cadet w/o going to orientation?

Is there PT during Orientation? The booklet didn't say to bring exercising attire.

No required PT. I know last year I took someone on here down to the gym with my roomie and I. I'd suggest bringing it in case your host goes to the gym or to go have fun. Wouldn't want to miss out!

website problems

Anyone else not able to get online to sign up for orientation?

My son shadowed a cadet last year, but I take it that is a small element of the real orientation.

Has anyone made a decision on where they are eating sunday night for orientation II? I am excited to meet everyone!
