As indoc has wrapped up and classes have started, I thought it might be helpful to write down some things while they are fresh in my mind (and yours) that could help the parents of the class of 2015. Some of the things I have "learned" were things I learned from previous years plebe parents - I started lurking around these boards in June 2009 when we started our application process. The information here has been absolutely invaluable and before things get lost too far down in the archives, I wanted to publish some of what we have all learned in going through this process that could help the next group just starting this journey. So please chime in.........
My number one suggestion- start your journey by contacting one of the KP admissions field reps. They are listed by state in a link from the "admissions" tab on the USMMA website.
We arbitrarily picked a name from the list of someone from NJ who was located fairly close to us. Best random pick we ever made. He was amazing! Extremely helpful and stayed by our side through the entire admissions process. Can't say enough wonderful things about him. I bet these admissions field reps are a greatly underutilized group and they should be your first call.
