Patiently waiting for NROTC

So I am a high school senior who has applied for a Navy ROTC scholarship. I have already submitted my application, done my officer interviews and everything is in Pensacola. I have been waiting a very long time for an answer. I have a plan B just in case I don't get the scholarship but with National College Deposit Day just a mere 3 weeks away from today, I was just wondering if anyone knows when I will know by. My stress levels have been off the wall and the anxiety of not being able to choose a school is making me edgy. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated!

They know about the May 1 deposit deadline and I am sure are doing their best to notify you before then. Your part of the job is to make sure Plan B is lined up. DS got a negative reply on April 15 when he applied and because we had done our homework, we still had plenty of time to execute on plan B. I'm sure once you have put yourself in the same situation you will feel far less stress, which is self imposed anyway. Wait patiently as long as you can but when you haven't heard and you think the time has arrived, then pull the trigger on plan B. Worse case is you are out a deposit which, when compared to the scholarship, is chump change.

Still no news, portal says "No decision..." I'm guessing the with the May 1 deadline quickly approaching any forthcoming news will be denial, has anyone had experience that would confirm or refute that?

Delay not always bad news....

Two years ago, my DD received a NROTC scholarship as Tier III and was notified on April 29! So it can happen --- With online banking and deposits easily accessed through college websites, it is possible to make your college deposit at the very last minute if you receive good news as we did!

Good Luck!
