Where'd your avatars come from? They look like they're from the same source.

Good friend LITS, sharp eye! Ann Hand is a jewelry designer in DC, long known for her patriotic and military designs. The avatars are the respective Navy and Air Force pins. The SES women in the Pentagon, senior female political appointees, etc., all wear these with their power suits. Female generals and admirals in civilian attire, and FOGO spouses too. There are also nice service, Defense, Justice and patriotic cufflinks and lapel pins, and yes, USCG designs.

And...Blue Star Moms. And USNA crest. West Point pin. Marine lapel pin. A very cool AF jets pin. Veterans' pin. Plenty of options to get into trouble with. My previous avatar was Fair Winds and Following Seas. I decided to switch to the Navy crest just for a change. Though I am not big on jewelry (would rather spend on travel with DH), the Ann Hand pins I own are my equivalent of a power tie for men, when doing speaking engagements, interviewing, etc.

Capt MJ -- Do they have any jewelry that is VMI or USAFA related? My DS is a Rat and my DW is a 83 USAFA grad like me . . . her birthday is approaching and she would love something like this that is either VMI or USAFA related.

Woops . . just saw the link! Thanks for posting!

Mine is obviously the AF pin. The pieces are dynamic...be forewarn they are heavy pieces. For women you have to think about the blouse you will wear it on. I got my piece as a gift for Bullet's retirement.
