I recently completed the DoDMERB exams; the optometrist was just on Friday, and the medical and audiologist exams were yesterday.

At the optometrist exam, I was recorded as having 20/30 vision in my left eye, and 20/20 in my right. Another concern was during my audiologist exam; I have very good hearing, but the doctor made a comment similar to, "It could just be wax in your ears..." He didn't say anything was wrong, but that was just kind of an offhanded remark.

Would the 20/30 vision in one eye be harmful in regards to the status of my qualification? I don't have any numbers or anything on my hearing, but I'm hoping that won't be harmful either. Everything else in the exams went fine.

Was the 20/30 corrected or uncorrected? Regardless, you are likely fine for an overall qual, you just might need a waiver if it comes to a pilot slot. The DODMERB site has a link to the DQ codes and remedial codes. Good source to check for all the fine details.

The 20/30 was uncorrected, but correctable.

I'll take a look at the site, thanks!

Remedial was requested two days ago due to a low BMI. Letter from a private physician is requested, stating I have no genetic, eating or endocrine disorders.

Hopefully with the letter in this will prove no problem.
