As a member of the Air Force I was allowed to park on Academy grounds during campus visit with my son. Will I be allowed to park on grounds during I day and PPW?

If you have the ID, you can drive on. General parking fills up rapidly.

If you don't have a military ID, you should park at the stadium and take the shuttle. If you are staying in a DTA hotel and are physically able to walk a couple of miles, you can walk. Or, you can try your luck parking at the downtown garage and walking from there.

Any suggestions on what time I should be on base in order to get a spot?

It's going to be pretty difficult that day. Keep in mind there still will be summer classes going on along with on the yard summer training, so staff parking and midshipmen parking will mostly be taken up and the rest will most likely be taken up by the civilian contractors. I highly recommend parking at the stadium and taking the shuttle, it'll make both getting on and off the yard much easier.

We have mil ID but our mid had an early report time. Lots of construction right now really makes it tough so if you want to use your ID to get on go early.
