Hey everyone!

So I have accepted my appointment and begun the process of completing the numerous tasks listed on my portal. The only major one I have done is fingerprinting. Could anyone with knowledge about his portion of the process give any insight? There are so many things to be done and any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, I bought boots at the PX while I was at USMA. However, mine are tan colored while my portal says they must be "coyote brown". Do I need to buy a different pair now? Thanks!

Fingerprinting and birth certificate upload are key to gaining access to the eQIP clearance forms, so get those submitted. You should also get your medicals done in case you need follow ups. For example, DS needs additional immunizations and his blood work will take 3-4 weeks to process. He also needs a cavity filling replaced.

Boot memo specifies coyote color. We returned the tans that AAFES shipped and bought coyote.

For fingerprints, call local sheriff Dept and schedule an apt. Tell them it's for west point and military security clearance and they will likely be very accommodating. Make an appointment.

I got mine done at my local army recruiter's office, so that's also an option!

Thanks everyone but I've already done the finger printing. I was more asking about the other items. Thanks for the responses though!

Your portal will update soon! There is a long list of things to do, but it is quite manageable (immunizations, blood test, vision survey, teeth exam/x-rays, travel, points of contact, etc.)
