Hello. I am asking for a friend, but is it at ALL possible to already have a Presidential nomination to USAFA Class of '25? I am wondering because I heard a rumor that a Candidate for USAFA '25 has a nomination from the President but I wanted to see if this is possible. Thanks for any input.
 
presidential nom is military affiliated nomination...up to 100 per year
 
The Presidential and other service-connected nominations are a simple matter of eligibility and are not competitive. If you’re eligible, supply the supporting docs, you get one. Some people may be far enough along the path, it’s showed up in their portals.

Of course, several hundred applicants in any one cycle may be eligible for one, but there is a cap on the number of appointments that can be charged to that nom source.

Recommend going to the top of the Nominations forum and reading the Sticky there.
 
Hi!

I can speak for USAFA...if a potential candidate did all the paperwork and sent it to USAFA prior to 1 July and it was verified that he/she was eligible for a Presidential nomination, then on 1 July, they may have received it. As previously stated, this is not competitive, there are an unlimited amount of nominations available. If the applicant meets the eligibility requirements, they are awarded the nomination. It's a small appointment box; they will pick no more than 100 for admission.

Is there a form to fill out? Where can you find this form. I have the statement of service, but cannot find any directions or guidance as to what to submit and where on the website. Thank you for any assistance.

I’m just wondering as I will be requesting a Presidential Nomination as well...should this mailed, emailed or both? Should I wait until after I submit the PCQ to request one?

^Follow the same link. For the answer to your first question, scroll to the "Request Guidelines" @Capt MJ already mentioned. For the second, scroll to "How do I Apply?" and then "Apply for your Nomination Early."
