Hello,

I was wondering if I could get anyone else's anecdotes for how they found out if they were selected as the principle nominee. My district follows this format and was recently given a nomination. Upon informing my FFR, he said, "Congrats! I'll just say this, I think you can expect an offer soon". I know he works closely with the nomination board, but I don't know if he has access to that kind of information. I was never informed anything by the office itself, the nomination simply appeared in my portal.

Thanks for any insight.

Congrats on the nom. You could call the MOC staffer’s office, express appreciation for the nom, and ask if they are allowed to tell you if it was a principal (please use correct term if you email them) nom. If they can, they will. If they can’t, just continue to focus on things you can control, tend alternate plans, PT, enjoy holidays.

I heard via by calling my Congressman's office and talking with one of their staffers. If I remember correctly, we were told that results were going to be released around Christmas and it was a few days before and I just called to see if there had been any movement. I was told I was their Principal nominee by the staffer on the call. People end up hearing a lot of different ways. I knew going in that the Principal system was being used, but I did not know I received the Principal until I made the call. Funny enough, I didn't even ask if I received the Principal. I just was asking if decisions had been made. My appointment to USNA showed up in February. College reapplicants are usually reviewed in January at USNA. This is so first semester grades can be evaluated.

I saw it posted on the portal first, listed from my district. A few days later it came in the mail and our rep indicated it was principal.
