USMMA is making calls to prospectives still. My boyfriend got a call today, but denied because he was accepted to USNA. So if you were put on hold, there may still be a chance for you!

LOL!!! Especially after seeing you sail captain all those years, Id have thought he'd want to become a deckie. Again sorry you couldn't convince him to try at another maritime school.

Well, a couple of us have survived the trauma. Sorry to year about the decision. Neither of my kids were very interested. My son had a passing interest in KP, but not the grades. My daugther probably had the grades, but not the interest. I can't complain, though. She graduates from the U of Houston in a week and a half and starts a well paying job in June as a business software consultant. Her other major is supply chain logistics, so there IS a transportation component in her training.
