PPW Weekend for 2010-2011

the dates listed on the official WP website Parent Page for 2010-2011 indicate the Plebe Parent Weekend will be in March (March 11-13)...
 
Again, and it may be just me, but my experience with the Thayer is that of a high school junior visiting USMA (for a tour and, I believe, a physical examination) 30+ years ago with my father and staying at Thayer, on the academy grounds. Not only was I, a young man seriously considering USMA, simply awed to stay on the academy grounds in such an august hotel, but the night before the tour/physical we were able to walk the grounds informally. I feel, all things considered, that the incremental costs of staying at the Thayer are well worth the convenience and, certainly for your prospective cadet, the experience.
 
A few people have mentioned that on A-day their cadet was able to go 'hang out' with them at their hotel. How can you find out which hotels or how far away you can take your cadet and still be within the West Point rules?

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I don't know where I saw October. Maybe it was wishful thinking! I'm on vacation in October, February and June. March puts a little kink in plans that I will have to deal with!
 
Ive heard that some hotels fill their reservations on R-day for graduation of that class four years later. Is that really true?
