    Hello everyone,

As I prepare for Beast and Plebe year, a few questions have come up:

I read that the average day in the life of a plebe is from 5am-12am. If this is true, how do cadets stay awake and function well throughout the day? I do not really have a problem staying awake on little sleep, so this is more of a general inquiry.

What subjects should I study most during these last few months before I head off to the Academy?

Am I permitted to bring a hard drive filled with movies, music, ect. to plug into the laptop I will receive at USMA?

    Any information is greatly appreciated!

Most of these questions have been answered before. Read through the countless Beast question threads and you will find your answers.

    That being said,
    1. Not true, more like 6:15 to 11:00 if you manage your time wisely
    2. None, go have fun with your firends
    3. Yes, ask your parents to bring it on A-Day or mail it after Beast

during beast: wakeup is at 5, though 5am means outside your door and dressed, so plan appriopriately,

    and taps is 10pm.

Some new cadets try and stay awake to "study knowledge" after taps.

DON'T do this. Go to sleep. Sleep is more valuable than studying, and it's not worth it, trust me. Write letters during the day, don't waste time at night.

Priorities for beast are Health (including food, sleep, proper hygiene) and Safety(don't get yourself hurt), and then finally grade (like knowledge, perfectly clean room, etc)

Remember your priorities and you'll do great.
