If a New Cadet has already passed the DODMERB Physical and submits the required health/immunization records...what happens at the Reception Day in-processing at the Medical Station? Do New Cadets go thru another round of physicals?

NC's are rushed through one or two stations, told to turn in any outstanding forms/paperwork they still haven't turned in (last-minute vaccinations sort of stuff). The people manning the stations will ask them cursory questions (like "Have you been majorly sick in the past two weeks", "Are you currently on any medications?") and then just pass them along to the next of many, many stations. Later on during Beast they'll have a blood test and a dental exam done, but other than that, not much happens medically.

We did have one kid come in last June with Mono and he wasn't allowed to do Beast, but other than that, I haven't heard of anyone being turned back medically on R-Day.

I amend my answer becasue of all the lawyer wannabees out there:

    1. No, it will NOT be a problem causing you NOT to be admitted into the Class of 2015.
    2. Yes, a cavity is a problem in that it will need to be treated by a dentist to preclude further decay:thumb:

So we do not have to take hearing or vision tests on R-Day?

Can anyone tell me, with respect to the above bolded text, if female cadets will have to announce (in front of everyone?) that they are taking Seasonique--since it is a prescription--at this time.

    Thanks.

I think she will be in an semi private room when being asked these questions but even if she wasn't: when they ask her if she is on prescription medication she will have to answer but I doubt any New Cadets around her will be able to focus on anything other than the cadre or that anyone would care. Being on birth control isn't a big deal at this age...

    Thank you.

Agreed but there is something to be said for discretion and a modicum amount of modesty.

But these along with spying on other NC's will be among the bottom of a NC's concerns on R-Day :shake:
