Is there a good advice thread here on how best to go about preparing to re-apply as a college freshman?
I am on the NWL with slight hope of getting an appointment. I want to apply again for class of 2019... I have multiple college choices most with ROTC options (ROTC scholarships pending). Does ROTC enrollment actually improve WCS when applying as a freshman or is it better to spend more time on academics, and perhaps at better school? I was considering doing SMP (simultaneous membership program= Army reserve + ROTC) but this may prevent me from attending college in the fall semester, with BT and required job training. Is this a "death nail" having no new grades to submit until 2nd semester to the academy? Also I am concerned about competitive athletics on a college level at the schools I may attend. How do I keep up that portion of the WCS. Are SAT scores still relevant once in college, should I retake? Any insight and advice would be appreciated.... Thanks
