good news, my grade was changed to a D! Since I'm no longer failing anything I think I am all set...
Finish the application and hurry! There is no point in abandoning it now, unless you have changed your mind. You will take both of those subjects at West Point.
BTW - what level of physics are you taking?
and keep in mind they add 10 points to our final grade, which is what that is. does anyone else's school do that too?
When I spoke with the USNA admissions folks yesterday, they mentioned Calculus and Chemistry as the two biggest "plebe-killers." That being said, it will pay big dividends at the Admissions board when they see you've done well in those in HS.I think if you can handle it you should take it. It might be best if you can take AB in Jr. year and than BC in your senior year, it should help you with the Calc validation test at WP since it'll be fresh in you mind.

If you did well on your Math SAT or ACT, did well in math through pre-calc and find that Calc is tripping you up - don't slack off but don't freak out either.
You will re-take it at USMA and be prepared for it.
The thing about that is involving another question: I was thinking of taking AP Stat also, and am wondering if the exam goes toward validation considerations for MA 206? Also, if you validate Calc 1, can you only go into MA 205 or can you go into MA255 also as an option? Finally, if you take the advanced core math classes, which one do you take your third semester?
Also, on an unrelated note, what are the names of the mil history baseline classes you take your firstie year?

please answer...thanks in advance
Here is the deal on math -
I don't think you can validate the Stats class. AP Stats is not calculus based.
If you validate Calc I then the sequence is Multivariable Calculus, Diff Eq and Statistics.
You have 3 core classes instead of 4 core classes.
The core military history is two semesters of the Art of Military History, one normally takes as a firstie.
