Political junkies and nonsoldiers can yammer about what the courts and congress are doing or are going to do in Washington- but the real news of the military is that Soldiers every day are doing their duty in a place where their lives are at risk. Yesterday 6 soldiers came home to Dover Del- joining 450 other Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines killed there this year. Salute them and understand that this is what the service is about- and what you are signing up for. The free college, the grad school opportunities , etc.... are just benefits that come with the job- but this is the job.

    Very well said.
When people say to me that my son is getting a free education, I tell them it is anything but free and that he may end up paying for this free education with his life. God forbid.
I have a nephew in Afghanistan, and there isn't a moment in the day that I wonder how he is.
    God Bless them all.
