So I mailed out my paperwork for my Remedial last Friday. It reached the USAFA on Tuesday, according to USPS Tracking.
How long will it take for my paperwork to be processed?
Also, will it show up on my DoDMERB profile that they received the paperwork? So far there have been no changes to my profile on the DoDMERB website.
    Thanks for any replies.

I had a remedial for USNA because of a football injury I received last year. Once paperwork was in it took 3-5 days but maybe 7-10 total

It will show up that they have received the paperwork.
Mine showed that it had been received and that I was qualified in the same day.

At the latest - the latest you could hear back is months from now.

Do some research, Google the threads about DoDMERB remedials and see what DoDMERB has done - they are all over the place per the various threads.

You have applied to United States military academies where they train people to be combat officers. They want people that are self sufficient and capable of making reasoned decisions under pressure

I get that you are nervous and excited, but I worry you are going to be one of those high maintenance plebes people like my DD are going to end up carrying through the program.

If immediate positive feedback is a requirement for you, you are going to be very unhappy in the bureaucracy that is the US military

You will however be pleased to learn that negative feedback is often provided quickly especially throughout your Plebe year.

Cerberi...I think you hit the nail on the head.
My general rule of thumb...you should give them a 2-4 weeks on any "hard" copy item you send in to USNA...while the office doesn't get nearly as much snail mail as they previously did, it still takes time for the mail to arrive, get to the right person and opened, processed, reviewed and scanned, and followed by a decision. Plus, you aren't the only one sending in items. OP, you have an LOA...they will get to your paperwork and you won't be forgotten about!

I mean no offense and know that you do not as well. But I can promise you that I will not be one of those plebes if I am appointed. I have been self sufficient my entire life. I haven't been given much. I don't mean to sound conceded or arrogant or anything but I really am a self-made man. I hate being regarded as one who can't do anything. I have received negative feedback before so it won't be anything new to me.
I know it seems as though I am impatient. The thing is, I have already researched about this more than two weeks ago once I found out my status. The problem is that I have read multiple different things and advices so I'm unsure what to decide on what to believe.
I know I will find out in due time but I like being informed. If I can get advice from those who know what they are talking about then I will most definitely ask for it.
Forgive me if I offend you, that is not my intention. I just believe you might have misunderstood which angle I am coming from. Thank you for your advice.

Let's be clear - my sarcasm is indeed intended.

And you have helped make my point.

Suck it up, take the hit and move on

Learn the 5 basic responses and realize those suffice for virtually every question

My DS went through remedial twice, found them both to be pretty quick but that was a while ago (LOA back in October). I would think it depends on how inundated they are at the time. Hang in there.

I don't understand the way we are talking to kids in these forums sometimes....... This kiddo isn't in the service yet. He/she is a senior in high school who is asking a fairly appropriate question. I think to tell him/her she may be high maintenance and to "suck it up" in response seems a bit much to me. The OP even respectfully clarified and was given no leeway. While I have received invaluable info in these forums for the past few years, I am beginning to question the tone of some replies. At times, the level of support seems to be changing to more critical and less helpful. My two disappointed cents.

    Yes sir
    No sir
    No excuse sir
    I will find out sir
    Aye aye sir
Yes, I know them and have for over six months. If you were questioning my knowledge then there is your answer. Sir.
I'm also a little confused as to how I proved your point, and what your point is exactly in the first place.

He isn't a kid. He is a young man with an LOA to the USNA. In 123 days, he will be required to know the 5 basic responses and will use them as his primary means to communicate with his chain of command.

He (and his classmates) will get dinged, written up, restricted, and otherwise 'punished' for seemingly minor infractions and sometimes because his classmates 'failed' at something.

He will be frequently instructed to 'suck it up'

The answer to his question about 'remedial feedback' has been answered many times on this board.

The 'I will find out' would have taken very little initiative for him to answer his own question.

So in my defense (as if I need one), I have attempted to provide free training on what life will be like for him in short order.

No need for thanks - it at one time was my job.

And if he doesn't 'get' the message, he will indeed be 'high maintenance' for his classmates

@HassamaMama Your OP was perfectly fine. Unfortunately I do not have an answer for you and I don't think anyone can give you a definitive answer. It could take a week to a few months. IMHO, I would give it 2 weeks to see a portal update. If you don't see one then, follow up to make sure that have the information and ask to see if they need anything else. Beyond making sure they have everything there is not anything else you can do. USNA will make a decision on your waver when the make a decision on your waver.;)

And I will provide you with some useful information that I have read from this board.
