When we say flood gates are about to open…. What number are we talking about? Are we talking 5 appointments posted here a day (given a 10% representation that would mean 50 appointments issued a day) for 2 weeks??

Last year there were 20 appointments posted here between March 11 and March 23. Mostly in bunches, with a lot of days having none. 8 were on March 16-17, and 8 on March 20-23 (at least by my quick count). But also USNA seems to be way behind where it was last year, so hopefully they will make up for it in the next two weeks with bigger numbers. Happy day 41!

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday! We are headed over to the Grandparents house this evening. They are not particularly involved in our kids’ lives (no biggie - it’s their choice) but I’m sure the discussion will come up about where DS is going to college / why he hasn’t accepted the first scholarship he was given. Always fun trying to explain this crazy roller coaster ride 😂….

Basically what the title says! Will be replying to this thread everyday until an appointment or a rejection. Applying to USNA. Feel free to join in! Why am I doing this? I don't know, I'm just anxious and I think this can help to a certain extent. Mods, sorry if this is breaking any rules. 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️
3/10/24 nothing in my USMA portal

No one understands 😔 so many pieces and so much waiting. FWIW, none of the grands are involved with our kids either. Their loss...

IKR? I try to explain to some folks and they are confused by the second sentence & no longer interested in hearing anymore 😂. I don’t think I’m going to try anymore…. I’m sorry to hear about your grands too. I’m over it - but it hasn’t always been easy for me to get there. I’ll just smile a lot tonight & let DS answer all of the questions 🙂. His cousin who is also class of 2024 made her decision in the late Fall so I’m sure there are lots of comparisons about how he’s doing everything wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️. It’s just different when you apply to a SA and not many understand….. so… thank you SAF friends, for going on this journey with us!
