Well, it is the end of the USNA road for us! A TD posted tonight! Honestly, DS and I are so relieved the wait and wondering is over and he's very happy with USMMA and just sent in his acceptance! You all have been absolutely amazing to hang with and I am not leaving here yet I promise! Stay strong those who are left - I am rooting for you!!!
 
Just finishing the laundry tonight and of course stumble upon the USNA pjs DS bought at CVW. Ha! They will be an awesome keepsake from this journey!

We had a great night talking about all the highs and lows of this SA journey and he hugged me and thanked me for all of my help 🥰 (which I pray was captured on my ring cam because … um, how often does that happen?? If so, that will be MY keepsake!) We watched the 2022 USMMA valedictorian speech that those who’ve come before us have posted and absolutely loved it!

DS is so happy to know where he is going - Now to get some USMMA merch! Good night all and good luck to those still waiting! ❤️

And to the friends I’ve made along the way who plan (or who’s DS/DD plan) to be USMC officers - I hope our paths cross again after commissioning!! (@blinkus and @ARMARINE03 - Semper Fi!).

Oh I know the feeling exactly! Happy for you and DS. Isn't it a blessing to have a clear direction and be able to move forward?! Congratulations on USMMA!

I am sorry. Thank you guys for the fun and the terrific memories over the past few months. After looking into it when it was an option for our DS, KP looks awesome and if your DS has his sights set on USMC, it could be his path. Best of luck moving forward.

What a day. For some of you, this chapter is over and a new one begins. For others, the chapter is incomplete with renewed plans to finish at a later time. For others, the chapter is taking it's time. What a grinding experience. Hopes up, hopes dashed, hopes renewed. When you think about the journey to this point, honor those who've made a tougher journey. A few years ago, I had an eye to eye discussion with a Medal Of Honor recipient from WWII. His name was Woody Williams. Awarded the MOH the same day as the flag raising on Mt. Suribachi. I asked Woody, "How many Medal Of Honor worthy actions were left on the battlefield that we'll never know of?" He said hundreds, if not thousands. Often times we take for granted the impact we have on others. These kids are an inspiration to us all and their stories will play out. For those that are heading to Plan A, good luck! Those with Plan B? Good luck and hope it brings you back to Plan A, if that's what you want. For TWL's, deep breaths and TCB. Whatever you do, DON'T QUIT! GET UP AND RUN TO THE CHAOS! As one Navy SEAL said, "You're never out of the fight."
