Replying to this thread everyday until an appointment/rejection

Thank you so much for your kind words. Its comforting to know that there’s a lot of folks who can understand what we are going through and cheering my DS on his way forward. Definitely, TD is a redirection. My DS and I started this journey with 0 knowledge to somehow gaining expertise on many angles of this complex application process. My DS has been giving information and guidance to juniors in his high school and documenting his journey for his counsellors to share to the kids next in line and so am I with my friends who have high school kids. To spill more beans, my DS is in boarding school and I’m > 8,000 miles away from him due to work so we are dealing with this and comforting each other remotely. To say that SAF is our toolkit and community is an understatement. Eventhough this is an anonymous forum, most have been kind and helpful.
Tell your DS, he is among the best qualified candidates who got TD. A plan moving forward is best, in my view, but at the same time he may just give it another try --- like buy a lottery ticket -- his main focus is a forward plan -- become an office in 4 years !

What a sad day for my DS and our family. Back to back TD from USAFA and after less than 2 hours TD from USNA. Still pending from USMA but now I think if you are not appointed before April 15, chances are you’ll be waitlisted or turned down especially if you are not PNom.

DS kinda ok with it and will schedule to retake SAT (its 1400 currently) by June and will reapply to USNA. DS plan B is engineering in SMC with ROTC.

Good luck to all who are still pending and waitlisted.
Sorry to hear this  admissions are so brutal-I just wanted to thank you for all the support and uplifting messages you have given to all of us who applied. Your kind words have uplifted not only me, but every other applicant on this forum. I wish you and your DS the best of luck this next year, and I hope to see him in the class of '29! Go Navy, Beat Army!

good afternoon to all! Still pending with a DQ here, expecting to hear by tomorrow (or so admissions says.....). thank you so much for all your hope and well wishes, it has definitely helped me stay positive and encouraged
Cheering you on!!! Keep us posted!

Best of luck to all those pending. Thank you all for all of your help and guidance. We are also from a rural area and navigated/stumbled through the process this year. This forum is a god send and has already helped us to be prepared for this upcoming application. DS had an amazing conversation with his BGO and when things slow down, he is going to call the Admissions counselor to go over recommendations for his re-application. Planning our visit to Embry-Riddle to sign up for classes and couldn't be more excited for this Plan B. It is an amazing school, small class size, and tight knit group. I find myself crying out of the blue knowing the first born is going to be gone in a few short months, (sorry, momma talk) 😂
All of the applicants on this forum: you are amazing and I couldn't be more impressed with your maturity at communications on this forum and how you all have handled yourselves. Whether the academy is your future or an amazing college experience, you need to hold your head high and be proud that you navigated one of the most difficult application process. I tell my children constantly: "You learn more from your failures than your successes and never stop fighting." Good luck to all and try to keep that in your head any time you run into a road block 🥰

Thank you for adding to our lives. This is one my first stops in the morning and pretty much all day. Checking in on everyone's status, hoping for the best. What a terrific group of Kids and parents. You parents should be proud of the young men and women you're turning out to the world. Best of luck, maybe we'll see you on here next year for a second run, if not, your young Man will go far.
