Its essentially for the cadre and POC to see what you have done to be selected for in college scholarship and also affect you for SFT (not used for the actual selection but as a reference)
In other words this is going to come down for a rack and stack moment for your unit. There maybe so many cadets/candidates that are so close overall, that they want to see the forest for the trees...the smaller things. The resume will allow them to see everything side by side for each cadet.
~ In some ways this would be considered a mini-board. It is not uncommon in the ADAF. The Squadron Commander would have all of the OPRs (resumes), submitted to them prior to submitting their PRF to the Wing for promotion (Def. Promote(DP), Promote(P), Do Not (DNP)).
~~ IOWS, again... rack and stacked their candidates in their squadron before the board ever met or was even signed off by the Wing King/Queen.
I am confused because ICSP is usually for 100s. SFT is for 200/250/500s.
~Just me, but I think that matters alot when how you address this issue.
~~ A 100 going up for an ICSP impo, can and should include HS. The AFROTC HSSP does not include their senior year, except for new best sittings ACT/SAT. Taking 5 APs, or elected NHS president, CAP/JROTC awards, etc. may not show up on their packet for HSSP selection. HSSP selection only takes into account what you did until the end of your junior yr. in HS. They are new to the program and probably have no job in the AFROTC unit yet. Nor have they taken the AFOQT.
~~ A 200/250/500 going up for SFT, impo, should weigh what they add from HS...if anything. 250 is the exception since this is their 1st semester in AFROTC. 200/500s have at least a year in the program. They should be able to place jobs within the unit for their resume. 500s would have the AFOQT scores. They (200/500) also had the opportunity to join military fraternities, like, Arnie Air, Silver Wings, Angel Flight, Honor Guard as freshmen/sophomores. This gives them not only an opportunity for leadership, but illustrate they can manage their cgpa, ROTC and outside of the classroom activities. IOWS...they juggle a lot more than the cadet that just shows up for PT and LLAB.
