I am a junior and am seriously considering ROTC. Do you apply for an ROTC scholarship through the college you will be attending, or through the Army itself? When do I complete this application?

You apply for the scholarship through the Army, it is a National scholarship, during the process you will list schools that have ROTC and you would like to attend.

Go to the Goarmy.com site, you complete the application online. Read all the information they have and then come back and ask any questions you like. Look through this forum, there is a wealth of information on this board.

    Good luck.

And don't forget there is AFROTC and NROTC as well. You would apply to them thru their respective services web sites. Start investigating now as you will want to start your application in the spring of your Junior year and complete it in time for the August review boards. These boards will award the scholarships. They will be very competitive due to budget cuts and downsizing.
