Sailor charged with espionage

Ugh. Of course I support due process under the law.

But I vote for this place as next PCS:

I don’t think those who give away the nation’s secrets are well-regarded there. And a Chief Petty Officer - oops - E7, referring to him by paygrade now, as he no longer deserves the name of “Chief.” He was a career Navy guy. He knew better. Assume it was the money.

If found guilty...

Why can't we savea lot of money and revert to keelhauling?

Reading reports from the 16th and 17th Royal Navy...it was pretty effective...

Messy...especially if the hull hadn't been careened lately...but....
Then there is “flogging round the fleet.”

This 2014 USNI article provides a nice account of the most damaging spy in our country's history. I read Peter Early's book and saw the movie. Betraying the country was bad enough but John Walker brought in his son, friend, and brother and tried getting his wife and daughter involved. The wife and daughter led to his downfall.

I'm not sure that works in the age of propellers but perhaps that's even better in this case.

Pedicini is the first sailor to be charged with espionage in at least the past five years, according to the Navy’s Office of the Judge Advocate General.
Talk about damning with faint praise, that reads like a jobsite "INJURY FREE FOR _____ HOURS" sign.
