How many cadets are on Sandhurst company team? How many plebes ,if any; make the company teams?
 
Don't remember how many cadets, but I'd say maybe around 15-20 people per team? It depends on the company, but back in my day, most companies took anyone who was interested in joining. If any plebe demonstrated interest, they definitely took them in.
 
Thats pretty much what my son, a pleab, said. He tried out for the company team on Monday. He said the Gold and Black tryouts were coming up.

DS, plebe was selected for his company Sandhurst team.
He texted his upcoming training schedule, and personal training requirements.
WOW. DS is excited the challenge.

I am not sure of the number. I think 11 plus 2 alternates. No, not every class has to be represented. You must have at least one female though. Last year my son's team was 8-9 Firsties, 3 Yuks and 1 Plebe. This year it is 3 Cows, 3 Plebes and the rest Yuks. We went and cheered his company on in the International Competition last April. He really likes it and the competition was fun to watch!
 
Does anyone know if the competition taking place today and tomorrow has any livestream or video components planned?
 
I have been wondering the same thing @MD1.

Additionally does anyone know where on post will the competition be held? My oldest son is trying to go watch his little brother
 
Just received a video of pouring rain at USMA. Looks like the competitors will "Embrace the Suck"
 
Very few teams reject people because generally there aren't enough volunteers. Speaking as a sandhurster, I was the only plebe on my team when I joined last year. However, you may not get to compete in the competition if the team has more than the required squad size. Plebes always get cut first. Thankfully I didn't.
 
DS was on his companies' team. They were short on alternates and one of his classmates was voluntold they were on the team.😂
